İnci Holding joined the UN Global Compact

Carrying out its all strategies and operations through responsible policies in the fields of human rights, labor standards and the environment since its establishment,  

Inci Holding became the signatory party of UN Global Compact.

 

Taking a signatory role in the principles of Women’s Empowerment (WEPs) under the leadership of UN Women since March 2016 and carrying out tangible activities in gender equality, Inci Holding aims to make its social, economic and environmental commitments more systematic by joining the UN Global Compact. 

 

Inci Holding carries out its operations and activities through the principles of business-operation-product efficiency, reducing environmental impacts, providing benefits to society, ensuring that employees work by creating and seeing value, and supporting a common mind, which constitute the main columns of its sustainability journey. In thi regard, Inci Holding has become a signatory party to UN Global Compact that is a volunteer leadership platform for the development, implementation and release of responsible business applications, and took its place among housands of companies around the world committed to responsible business practices to create a better world. 

 

Initiated in 2000, UN Global Compact is the world’s biggest corporate sustainability enterprise over 12,000 companies and 3,000 external signatories and 69 LANs located in more than 160 countries. 

 

By joining in UN Global Compact, Inci Holding is committed to aligning its operations and strategies under ten universally accepted principles in the fields of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption, and  supporting the purposes of the UN in line with such goals. 

 

Within this context, Inci Holding which is a part of a global movement consisting of sustainable companies and stakeholders takes joint responsibility to have a better world through an approach based on sustainability principles. Communication on Progress (COP) Report which constitutes a part of the UN Global Compact commitment summarizes the support provided by the Holding for universally accepted principles in the fields of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption as an indication of its commitment to operate through the principle of responsibility in order to support broader social goals. 

 

Female Ratio in Board of Directors is 50% 

Attaching importance to the “opportunity equality” in all HR processes and applications and operating with the principle of “respecting the differences and ethical values", Inci Holding deems the diversity as an asset and offers its employees an inclusive, honest and fair working environment. Having a 50% female ratio in the Board of Directors, Inci Holding signed the Women’s Empowerment Principles - WEPs, one of the most significant global initiatives of the private sector aiming at women's empowerment aiming to ensure that all women can take part in economic life in all sectors and at all levels in March 2016. Operating mainly in automotive sub-industry sector, Inci Holding carries out activities in order to increase the female employees in the sector. Besides, Inci Holding puts great efforts into reducing he environmental impacts and offering value to society by acting through a technology-focused approach.

 

Neşe Gök, President of the Board of Directors of İnci Holding, said: “I feel very luck to be a part of a community that gained awareness of sustainability years ago and operates with the principle of responsibility. We set an example for other firms in our sector with our inclusive and egalitarian business environment, our approach to human rights, our environmental policies, and our anti-corruption practices. We are working to create company policies to advance the gender equality through the Women's Empowerment (WEPs) principles for which we act as a signatory party. Among our commitments, there are some points such as being a corporate leader in gender equality, respecting the human rights of all employees, women and men, implementing initiatives for women's empowerment, supply chain and marketing activities. And now, we are expanding and deepening our efforts by joining the UN Global Compact. We will continue to contribute to sustainable future.”
